Project Brief: Design a new system architecture to support the exchange of information between disparate data management systems.
Context: A provider of mortgage-backed securities due diligence services wanted to improve the way they processed sensitive information. The services they provide require information to be transferred between a variety of digital systems. These varied, disparate systems were not integrated and required manual transfer of information, jeopardizing the integrity of the data exchange. The client wanted a new system architecture to increase processing efficiencies and accuracy of the services they offered.
My Role: I interviewed stakeholders and service providers to understand the current flow of information and worked with infrastructure engineers to design a new method of processing information. Because of the complexity of the services offered, I designed a graphic language to visually represent the client’s services. This information design captures the workflow of the client’s services and how the new system architecture would support these services.
